SEASON PASSES WITH VERTICAL PLUS MEMBERSHIP
Season passes require a fee to upgrade to Vertical Plus membership. Inquire at your home Vertical Plus office for more specific details. Season pass holders receive all the privileges of Vertical Plus membership with the exception of the afternoon credit option. All season pass holders receive 10,000 bonus feet upon joining and paying for their pass and membership. 

Each day your ticket or pass is scanned, you will receive 15,000 feet for skiing or riding in the winter and 10,000 feet for golfing or mountain biking at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort in the summer. All Vertical Plus members are limited to accruing up to 500,000 vertical feet for award redemption earned by skiing or riding. You can earn additional vertical feet through autocharge purchases, providing you participate in this option. Total vertical feet are tracked through-out the year. Complimentary passes are not eligible for Vertical Plus feet accrual and award redemption.


VERTICAL PLUS AND RESORT AUTOCHARGE
Daily members of Vertical Plus Program may join by paying a membership fee for the season. You will be issued Vertical Plus pass which serves as lift access and given 10,000 bonus feet upon joining.  Daily members are limited to accruing up to 500,000 vertical feet for prize redemption earned by skiing or riding.  Every day you ski you are required to pay the daily lift ticket rate (minus the Vertical Plus discount). This may be done at the membership offices or by the optional Resort Autocharge  feature (done by giving us your credit card number in advance; the charge is automatically billed to your credit card of choice-VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover). Resort Autocharge provides you the convenience of bypassing ticket lines. Any other promotional ticket offers must be handled at the Vertical Plus Office at each resort and must be purchased prior to first lift ride of the day. Resort Autocharge is also available for food/beverage, snowsports school, rental shop, retail shop and child care. This feature is available for pass holders or daily members.  Click here  for eligible locations.  Earn vertical feet with autocharge purchases (except lift tickets, season passes, gift cards and group sales purchases) at Northstar™ Resort and Sierra™ Resort owned or included locations.  You'll earn 1,000 vertical feet for each dollar autocharged at eligible outlets.

VERTICAL PLUS MEMBERSHIP IS NON-TRANSFERABLE
The privileges of Vertical Plus are non-transferable and are not to be given to friends or family members. Transferred passes can result in your privileges being revoked. Please show your pass when asked by Ticket Checkers or other resort staff. Tampering with the Vertical Plus pass may also result in your privileges being revoked.


WHAT TO DO IF YOUR VERTICAL PLUS PASS IS LOST OR STOLEN
Immediately contact the Vertical Plus  office and your pass will be turned off. Don’t worry, the vertical feet from your old pass can be transferred to your new account with the touch of a button.


MEMBER-ONLY LIFT LINES AND RECORDING VERTICAL FEET
Vertical Plus lift lines are not guaranteed to be shorter than the regular lift lines.  Vertical feet may only be accrued by having your pass scanned.  Each member will earn 15,000 vertical feet per day skied up to a maximum of 500,000 vertical feet.  In addition, members will earn 10,000 vertical feet per day golfed or mountain biked in the summer. 


LOANER PASS PROGRAM
Guests of Vertical Plus members may purchase a one day loaner membership for their use only. These may be purchased at theVertical Plus Membership Office. The loaner pass includes an all day lift ticket and use of the Vertical Plus members only lift lines.


VERTCIAL FEET AND BONUS FEET
For each day scanned skiing or riding in the winter, members will receive 15,000 vertical feet. Members will earn 10,000 feet for each day they golf or mountain bike at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort in the summer  Your vertical feet are tracked on a daily basis and are valid towards awards you may redeem from the Vertical Plus awards catalog .  Bonus feet may be obtained by skiing/riding 10 (10,000 feet), 20 (15,000 feet), and 30 (20,000 feet) days per person.  Complimentary season passes for the next winter season will be awarded to the five qualifying* members from each resort who ski the most days.

*Complimentary passes and memberships from the previous season are eliminated from Top 5 eligibility.  Also excluded are employee discount programs and complimentary daily ticket members. The number of qualifying days begins the first day of the winter ski/ride season and/or the first day the Vertical Plus membership is activated.  Days are counted on a per season basis and do not carry into the next season.


AWARD REDEMPTION FOR VERTICAL FEET
Vertical Plus members will have access to online statements  identifying your cumulative vertical feet to date in your personal account. You may convert your vertical feet to awards at any time during the year, providing you have the vertical feet required for the award you wish to receive. Vertical feet are non-transferable between accounts, even within the same family with the exception of a one time transfer of 25,000 vertical feet to another family member’s account. A maximum of 25,000 vertical feet may be carried over to the following season. You must redeem your vertical feet no later than November 30, 2008 or forfeit your remaining vertical foot balance. To redeem your vertical feet for awards, simply fill out an award redemption form and email, fax, mail or drop it off at your resort’s Vertical Plus office. A coupon will be issued that is exchangeable for the award you have chosen (based on the appropriate amount of vertical feet). Award descriptions and the vertical feet required for redemption are listed in this catalog. Once issued, coupons are valid until expiration and are not exchangeable for cash, vertical feet or other award (expiration dates vary by award). A coupon must be presented to redeem awards. Regardless of your home resort, you may choose from any of the awards listed in the catalog. All prizes are subject to availability. Some are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Merchandise shop certificates are not valid toward sale items.  All food and beverage coupons must be used for full value and are not eligible for cash or credit back.  All programs and products subject to change.  Vertical feet coupons are valid at Northstar Resort and Sierra Resort owned locations or certain third party shops in the Village at Northstar.  Locations where Vertical Plus Autocharge is accepted are identified by a special winter insignia.


HOW DO I FIND OUT HOW MANY VERTICAL FEET I'VE EARNED?
To find out instantly, you must go to the resort season pass office and your account can be pulled up via the computer. A statement detailing your activity is also available online .


COMPLIMENTARY LIFT TICKETS
Members will receive a complimentary Monday - Friday, non-holiday lift ticket with full membership payment. This ticket can be used at Northstar Resort or Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort during the 2008.09 season.


AFTERNOON CREDIT OPTION
To receive a credit you must check in at the Vertical Plus Membership Services Office no later than 12:30 p.m., no exceptions. Afternoon credit will only be given on full price adult and young adult daily Vertical Plus lift tickets. Once you have received an afternoon credit your Vertical Plus pass is disabled for the remainder of the day.


INTERCHANGEABILITY WITH NORTHSTAR RESORT & SIERRA RESORT
Vertical Plus members have the privilege of skiing at either Northstar Resort or Sierra Resort and receiving the Vertical Plus lift ticket discounts, members only lift lines and accruing the vertical feet you earn at both resorts. Season passes with Vertical Plus membership are able to receive all Vertical Plus privileges when visiting sister resorts.


NEWSLETTER AND STATEMENTS
Members will receive an email newsletter with information on upcoming events, bonus days, member standing and special benefits. To ensure you receive your Vertical Plus email newsletters, please add the domain "doublewhammypass.com" to your address book.
